Farid Homy was born in 1965 in Al-Qoush, Iraq. He
started singing when he was at the elementary
school during school events and parties. Also he
took part in many church plays.
Farid is a patriotic singer. He is devoted to his Syriac
language and homeland. For this reason many of his songs
reflects the love and devotion to his fathers land. In
1988 Farid filmed two songs in Al-Qoush, Hee Mthelan and
La Kthawa w La Khabra in which their music and lyrics
were written by Samir Zory and these two song where
broadcasted by Karkouk Iraqi

In 90th he wrote many poem about Mount Al- Qoush Martyrs
in which he recorded in Audio Cassette. He was a member
of Sheera group that devoted to Syriac people speakers.
In addition, Farid produced his first alboum, Jena, in
1996. The alboum was recorded in Al Qoush and then
distributed in the USA. In 1997 our singer produced his
second album in which called Tera Dshlama.Farid
then left his homeland and moved to Syria and formed new
band called Babel Lion in which he had his first event
with the great singer Foud Salem. During that he
produced two albums Dalaly and Nekhraoutha in 2005 and
2006. Then
he immigrated to the USA in 2006, where he is working to
produce new album with the great singer Joliana Jundo
and also preparing new video
clip Zorta Zorta. Farid is also producing a cassette
about the life of patriotic maryter Toma Thomas. Also he
is hoping to produce an Opera that bring all the signers
together in San Diego, California. The Opera is focusing
on the unity in Diaspora.For
2009 Farid is working with Juliana Jundo to produce a
new album that titled Halle de Halle in which Joulana is
taking part in two songs, Thalem Thalem and Hale Hale.
And they filmed the two songs in San Diego, California. |
